Location
The Locality
Estepona provides all the essentials for a fabulous holiday, no matter what your tastes- beaches, golf courses, marina, horse riding, scuba diving, tennis - all in an engaging small-town atmosphere, 26 kilometres from the sophistication of Marbella and Puerto Banus.
La Resina Golf and Country Club
La Resina Golf and Country Club is a stunning new nine-hole course, now open for play, only five minutes drive from the apartment, and a fifteen minute drive from Marbella. Set on a quiet hillside between the mountains and the sea, the variable terrain of the course provides a challenging and satisfying course.
It is open to members and non-members, with men with handicaps up to 28 and women with handicaps up to 36 being allowed to play. Lessons can be booked in advance from the pro shop. For non-members, the course fee is €40 and buggy hire costs €25.
The clubhouse bar and restaurant are available for refreshments, with a gentleman's club setting providing the perfect way to finish your game.
Directions: Drive out of the complex and go down the hill. Turn left at the T junction and La Resina Golf and Country Club are straight ahead.
Estepona Port
Take an evening stroll around Estepona port and enjoy one of the many fish restaurants or bars. On a Sunday morning, you can wander around the rather "upmarket" market stalls.
Andalucia
With it's long coastline and Moorish influence, this area of Spain has a little something for everyone. The climate is hot in the summer and mild in the winter. Steeped in history are the cities of
Granada,
Seville and
Cordoba, surrounded by a varied and dramatic landscape of mountains and hillls, where pituresque white villages hide away, offering peace and tranquillity in contrast to the chic sophistication of the coastal harbours.
